Derby has numerous local attractions including the historic houses of Chatsworth and Kedleston Hall, walking and outdoor pursuits in the Peak District, motor racing at Donnington Park, and the theme parks of the American Adventure and Alton Towers.
Derby also has a very rich heritage which can be explored in its architecture and museums, and seen by visiting the oldest factories in Britain, now the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site.
Derby also plays host to being the Real Ale Capital of the UK, and combined with plentiful shopping, numerous restaurants and even ghost walks makes for an interesting visit.
